Off-site activities are a well-used way of helping teams get to know each other better at the same time as working towards real outcomes or learning something beneficial.
I have worked with a wide range of teams at a variety of venues from luxury hotels through to Center Parcs – designing and facilitating, where appropriate alongside activity specialists. Here are three examples of venues that provide a great starting point for designing experiential learning and team building events.
The Yorkshire Sculpture Park is an ideal backdrop for activities related to creativity, exploring values and stimulating communication on pertinent topics. There are indoor facilities too which provide scope for discussion and reflection.
The natural stone cliffs at Bowles Rocks in Sussex provide the challenge of rock climbing and abseiling supervised by expert staff, along with plenty of problem solving, leadership and communications challenges. These are complemented by my input in areas such as beliefs, goal setting, values, motivators, type preferences, etc.
Carlton Lodge Activity Centre near Thirsk in Yorkshire has high ropes, a lake, indoor climbing wall and a wide range of other activities that provide experiential learning opportunities. We’re working together to design bespoke programmes for companies and offer a no-obligation discovery visit.
