I first found out about Zoe’s work when she did a presentation to the networking group BLaH about time management and ways of using time more effectively.
As someone who had been self employed for just over 18 months, it was something I had struggled with: I was getting an increasing amount of work from existing and new clients and I found it was beginning to take over my life.
After her presentation at BLaH, I had a private session with Zoe when we went through what I felt was causing the problem and how it could be solved. I had thought I was doing everything I could by planning out my week in advance, but I was struggling to stick to it, especially when urgent work came through from clients.
Zoe helped me to create a more realistic plan which also allowed time for unexpected demands coming in from clients – something which, in the past, had resulted in the rest of my day and the following day going completely off track.
However, the way Zoe works is not to tell you how to do things, but to encourage you to think it through for yourself and come up with solutions which will suit you and the way you work. She asks direct and relevant questions and quickly gets to the heart of the problem so she can help you find the answers you need to be more effective.
Just one session left me feeling confident and in control, and that feeling has lasted. I now look forward to planning my week out, knowing that I can stick to the plan and I will be able to tick everything off my list by the end of the week. I’ve even got my evenings and weekends back – and without having to turn away any work! I definitely recommend Zoe to anyone who wants to regain control over any aspect of their life.
